Mistress Amina attended the Dominatrix School in November 2021 and within two months completed the Professional Dominatrix course.

After working as an interior designer Amina wanted a career change but didn’t know quite where to start after having aspirations to become a Professional Dominatrix. Having had no previous experience as a Dominatrix, Amina wanted to learn the art of Female Domination and how to practice the BDSM skills associated with being a Dominatrix.

After an initial phone call with Head Teacher Madam Kitty, Amina started the journey towards her new career. Here she tells us how:

Q & A

What made you choose the Dominatrix School?

The Dominatrix School was exactly what I was looking for:  A face-to-face course that could be completed in my own time, teaching me the most common skills as well as the psychological aspect needed to become a Professional Domme. Also the fact that there is a male model on whom you can practice and receive useful feedback, something that is not possible if you just watch videos online.

How long did it take to complete the course?

I started at the beginning of November 2021 and finished just before Christmas, in time to get my business started in the new year. I understand that it is possible to complete the entire basic course in 4 - 5 days, but I needed the lessons to fit into my schedule.

Why did you decide to do the full course rather than just pick and choose some of the lessons?

Being a complete novice and wanting to become a Professional Domme I felt I needed to get an insight into every subject that was offered, so that I could make an informed decision on which subjects were of interest to me or perhaps best suited me. I also wanted to obtain a broad knowledge that would help me understand my new career better. In actual fact I ended up taking all but one lesson.

Were there any lessons that didn’t appeal to you?

For personal reasons I did not want to take the Foot Fetish class, but other than that I really enjoyed all the lessons. I ended up enjoying even those subjects I felt more apprehensive about: being shown the correct procedures and techniques by the teacher, who is an experienced Mistress, alleviated any previous fears I had.

What would you say was the part of the course that benefitted you the most?

Well, apart from the all the new practical and psychological content of the lessons, I would say that the Business Studies lesson, which I believe was lesson 9, was one of the most useful ones. Being three lessons before the end of the course it gave me time to start putting my business together before finishing the course, getting really good practical advice! I would never have known where to start, but I was given a comprehensive list of what to do next, so was able to get professionally set up in time for my new start in the new year.

How much did you need to invest after finishing your course to get up and running?

How much one invests is really is up to the student I guess, but I decided to follow the advice from the Business Studies teacher which included building my own brand style, creating a website for me and recommending a photographer to do my very own photoshoot. After investing quite a lot of money in the course I thought it best to listen to their advice rather than go my own way, which I don’t regret, as looking back I can see what a mess I could have gotten in, how much money I would have wasted and how much longer it would have taken me to start working as a professional Dominatrix. In figures the website cost me £500.00, photoshoot £250.00, clothes and bits and pieces about £200.00. I actually had some clothes that were already suitable and was advised not go and spend hundreds of pounds on clothes and accessories, something which I would almost certainly have done.

How long did it take you to recoup your investment in the course?

I’m not sure if I just started working at the right time, but I got all of my investment back in just over 6 weeks. I’m sure that what got the ball rolling was also my really professional set-up. I also remember the Business Studies teacher telling me that the most successful Doms have a stable of regulars, so I’m well chuffed to have already some regulars who keep coming back. My tribute is £250.00 per hour, 20% of which goes towards hiring the venue, although I know that outside London the tribute can vary substantially.

What is the one bit of advice that you would want to give to someone wanting to start the course?

I would say have a consultation first. I did, just to make sure I felt comfortable with the environment and the teacher. Kitty was my teacher, she was fantastic, very friendly, very patient at times and she was able to answer all of my many questions. We actually still keep in contact. As I said earlier, I chose to do all of the lessons, but if that's not for you just choose the lessons you would like to do. There is quite a lot of information to take in during the course but the worksheets you receive after each lesson are very helpful. The last thing I would say is take your teacher's advice, don’t waste time doing stuff you can’t do and have fun, because I definitely did!
